Maral
Zobian

Interior designer crafting layered, world-inspired spaces — from a five-zone student hub in Cambridge to a harbor of refuge for Boston's youth.

BFA Interior Design · Suffolk University Magna Cum Laude · Class of 2026 Boston, MA

Spaces shaped by a lifetime around art — and by journeys through twenty-plus destinations — layered with color, texture, and intention.

The daughter of a photographer and fine-art gallery owner, Maral grew up surrounded by art and design. At Suffolk University she turned that instinct into a discipline: spatial planning, materiality, and renderings that move from concept board to construction document.

Her work spans thesis, residential, commercial, and product design — always grounded in how people actually gather, study, rest, and heal inside a space.

Inside the Harbor — a building cut open

The Harbor Homeless Shelter stacks its whole world in one section: the welcome lobby and café at street level, lounges and counseling above, dining mid-building, and sleeping spaces rising to the top — public life at the water's edge, privacy in the calm behind it.

“A harbor is a safe, supported area that the harms of the sea cannot directly endanger — where any damage experienced out at sea can be healed.”

Every level of the cutaway was modeled and rendered by Maral in Revit, SketchUp, and Enscape. Drag your cursor across the model to tilt it.
